DESCRIPTION

More2Riverside and More2Childcare are looking for versatile and enthusiastic nursery nurses qualified to Level 2 in early years in either of our premises in East Greenwich.

The Nursery Practitioner will be based in one of our four age group rooms and will take responsibility for a key group of children to provide high qualified, safe, stimulating and flexible childcare. They will take individual responsibility to safeguard the children in their care and promote their wellbeing. Jobs are full-time, 7.30-6 four days per week

RESPONSIBILITIES AND CRITERIA:

  • To act as a key worker and provide care for a small group of children.
  • With your knowledge of EYFS help with planning of daily activities and provide suitable and inspiring play and learning opportunities
  • To ensure children under your care develop and learn in a safe and supportive environment
  • To be responsible for monitoring children’s progress and sharing information about their development with their parents and/or carer’s.
  • To carry out all duties associated with looking after your key group and around the daily routine
  • Minimum level 2 qualification in childcare
  • Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
  • Previous experience working within a childcare setting and experience with under 2s if working in the rompers room
  • Excellent knowledge of child protection procedures and health and safety requirements
  • To have the food hygiene certificate or be willing to complete one. To have a valid 12 hour paediatric first aid certificate

This is a flexible working opportunity. We are looking for staff that can be fully flexible to cover in the nursery when required. Working as Bank Staff is a fantastic way to build up your experience within childcare, as you will be expected to work with all age groups.

Your role as Bank Staff Member will include;

Earn whilst your learn and work. All apprentices will be put onto a Level 2 or 3 Early Years Educator course for completion within 12 to 18 months.

Responsibilities of the Nursery Apprentice:

To help to set up the nursery before the children arrive in the morning and to help to clean and tidy away at the end of each session.

To work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members.

To advise the managers of any concerns e.g. over children, parents or the safety of equipment, preserving confidentiality as necessary.

To work alongside existing staff to help create support and stimulating play experiences, and using appropriate language.

To ensure that children are kept safe and that you understand when to follow child protection procedures.

To attend training courses as required and to take responsibility for your development.

To keep completely confidential any information regarding the children, their families or other staff, which is acquired as part of the job.

To be aware of and adhere to all the setting’s operational policies and procedures, e.g. health and safety, fire precautions, food safety, cleanliness of the setting etc.

To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the management, in accordance with the setting’s development plan and objectives.

DESCRIPTION

More2Riverside and More2Childcare are looking for exceptional level 3 practitioners due to nursery growth in child numbers.

You will need excellent knowledge of the EYFS, a level 3 (or higher) childcare qualification and at least 6 months of previous nursery experience.

The level 3 practitioners will work with their team and the Nursery Manager to provide high quality, safe, stimulating and flexible childcare for families from the local community.

They will ensure that safeguarding forms a central core for all activities and operations.

All successful candidates not already on the DBS update service will need to obtain an enhanced DBS. The position is full-time, 7.30-6 over four days per week but we would also consider candidates who can work 2 or 3 days (7.30-6).
